Vercel Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand site traffic and improve useful pages. It records aggregated information such as the page visited, referral source, device, operating system, browser, and approximate location. Vercel describes this service as cookieless and designed not to identify individual visitors. We also record limited events such as a completed calculator session or an outbound affiliate-link click. Those events contain general labels such as sport, gear category, and link placement—not a child's age, measurements, name, email address, or the full product URL.

Google AdSense and cookies

Selected, reviewed editorial pages can load Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, and information about visits to provide, personalize, limit, and measure advertising; prevent fraud; and improve their services. Advertising is not loaded on the calculator, shop, search, or policy pages by this site's route rules.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on itspartner-sites page. Where applicable, advertising choices or consent controls may appear before Google advertising is used. Google also provides controls throughMy Ad Center. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some site or advertising features.

Affiliate links and retailers

Some product links are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. When a visitor follows one, the retailer or affiliate network receives the request and may receive the referring page, IP address, device information, and its own cookies or identifiers. Purchases and retailer accounts are handled under that retailer's privacy policy. WhatGearFits does not receive a buyer's payment-card details from these links.

Email and service providers

There is no contact form or mailing list. If you email hello@whatgearfits.com, we receive the email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use it to answer the message, handle corrections, and protect the site. Hosting, email, analytics, and advertising providers may process information for those limited purposes. We do not sell contact information or add correspondents to a marketing list. Messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, records, security, or legal obligations.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection concerning personal information. These rights can have legal exceptions. Email hello@whatgearfits.com with a privacy request; we may need to verify the request before acting on it. You can also use the Google and browser controls described above. Because Vercel Analytics is aggregated and does not create visitor profiles for us, WhatGearFits may not be able to associate an analytics record with a particular person.

Children

The content discusses youth equipment, but the site is written for parents, guardians, coaches, and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent personal information by email, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Changes and retention

Service providers retain and protect data under their own terms and settings. We may update this policy when the site's tools or legal obligations change. A new effective date will appear at the top of the page; material changes will be described clearly.
